Mary Curnutte, MS, RD, LD

Dietitian

Mary Curnutte is a certified Intuitive Eating RD Counselor.  She graduated from Saint Louis University with a degrees in Nutrition & Dietetics with a Culinary Emphasis. She completed her dietetic internship at a variety of hospitals in St. Louis. Mary was born and raised in Louisville, KY, where she is excited to be back practicing dietetics. Mary has taught nutrition to all ages, from pre-K to adult. She currently works at the University of Louisville as a Nutrition Course Lecturer as well as at the YMCA as a Nutrition Counselor.

At the Louisville Center for Eating Disorders, Mary works with anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder, and eating disorders otherwise not specified. Each client requires individual couching to learn what is healthy for their own body. Mary will work with clients on specific strategies that will increase their nutrition. This can be an individual meal pattern, strategies for a pinpointed eating issue, or learning to tune into one’s own body’s cues, among other things, depending on a client’s exact need. Mary has worked with mindful and intuitive eating practices to teach attending to one’s own body to know how to nourish it. Mary is passionate about healthy relationships with food and finding joy in food and cooking. Our goal in nutrition counseling is properly nourishing one’s body while bringing peace back to food.
