Kate Price, M.A. is a doctoral student therapist at the Louisville Center for Eating Disorders, supervised by Dr. Mark Schirmer. Kate is currently a fourth-year practicum student in the Spalding University’s School of Professional Psychology. She obtained her M.A. from Spalding University in 2018 and her B.S. in Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience from Centre College in Danville, KY.
Kate has assessed and treated individuals with a variety of presenting concerns, including anxiety and mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, and somatic disorders. Clinically, Kate has a special interest and training in working with mental health concerns that are affected by acute or chronic illness. Kate conducts research in the subfield of health psychology, specifically questions related to patients’ relationships with their medical providers and effective multi-disciplinary treatments for chronic illness.
Kate is trained in many evidence-based systems and treatments including Cognitive-Behavior Therapy and Dialectical-Behavior Therapy. In session, Kate often utilizes interpersonal focus and intervention.
