Brenda Arellano, M.S., L.P.A.,  is a bilingual, Licensed Psychological Associate. Brenda specializes in providing empirically-supported treatment for individuals of all ages suffering from OCD. Brenda also treats individuals suffering from eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trichotillomania (hair pulling), excoriation (skin picking) and behavioral difficulties. As a fluent native Spanish-speaker, Brenda provides therapy in both English and Spanish. She is trained in delivering various empirically supported interventions, including Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness and Acceptance Based Interventions. Her training in various therapeutic approaches allows Brenda to adapt the therapeutic experience to best fit the needs, strengths and goals of her clients.

She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2017 with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. In addition to her clinical training, Brenda was involved in various research projects during her time at the University of Louisville. She shared her research on child anxiety and the intersection of culture and mental health at national conferences as well as peer-reviewed articles.

Brenda También ayuda a personas sufriendo de trastornos alimenticios, ansiedad, depresión, trastorno de arrancarse el pelo o pellizcarse la piel, y problemas de conducta. Ella a entrenado en varias terapias apoyadas por ciencia, incluyendo Exposición y Prevención de Respuesta, Terapia Cognitiva Conductual, Terapia Conductual e intervenciones basadas en mindfulness (atención plena). El conocimiento que Brenda tiene de varias terapias le permite adaptar sus técnicas en base a las necesidades, metas y fortalezas de cada persona.

Brenda recibió su Maestría en Psicología Clínica en la Universidad de Louisville en el 2017. Durante su estadía en la Universidad de Louisville, Brenda recibió entrenamiento en las terapias mas efictivas. Brenda también participo en varias investigaciones científicas. Brenda compartió sus investigaciones sobre cultura y ansiedad en niños en conferencias y artículos científicos.
