Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders

Eating disorders often co-occur with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and substance use disorders. Our specialists are trained to treat eating disorders AND any other co-occurring psychological illness.

The Louisville Center for Eating Disorders is unique because we partner with the Louisville OCD Clinic and Behavioral Wellness Clinic, which specialize in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. Our clinicians are experts in the treatment of OCD, PTSD, and anxiety, having trained with the developers of many of the evidence-based treatments for these problems.

We know that to adequately address the eating disorder, we must also treat anxiety, depression, OCD, and substance abuse. Dr. Levinson’s primary research area is studying why eating disorders co-occur with anxiety disorders and how to best treat co-occurring anxiety/depression in the eating disorders. At the Louisville Center for Eating Disorders you will receive the best care for all of the psychological problems you deal with!
